Manufacturer: 7.9 lb, single and rapid fire, 6,000 nails per battery charge, 1,200 nails per fuel cell. Those shot counts are Paslode’s, not ours. Listing title is the 906800. Who it’s for. Punch-list framing, additions, and anyone who will not drag a hose through a finished house. Lightest cordless we listed.

Who it’s not for. People who hate buying orange fuel cells. People already deep in 20V MAX or M18 — stay on those packs. The older XP 905600 (B017M0N6K6) is still a real listing; we are not making it the pick.

How to pick a framing nailer

Air vs fuel vs battery. Air (Metabo, Bostitch) suits you if you already own a pancake. Fuel (Paslode) is light and hose-free; you buy cells. Battery-only (DeWalt 20V, Milwaukee M18) uses packs you already own and skips fuel.

21° plastic vs 30° paper. 21° full-round plastic is common at big-box (Metabo, Bostitch, Milwaukee 2744). 30° paper/offset is Paslode and DeWalt. Do not mix collation in the same magazine.

Compressor CFM. A framing gun wants a real pancake — 2.6 CFM @ 90 PSI class or better. A 1.20 CFM quiet tank is finish, not framing. See Best Portable Air Compressors.

Hangers. If you will shoot joist hangers, the F21PL’s second nose is the reason to pay more than the Metabo.

Same-battery jobsite. Cut on a circular saw or table saw, hang with an impact driver, then nail. Stay on one pack family if you go cordless.
